A prose writer, a screenwriter, born in 1968. After studying economics in Izmir and three and a half years of working in a bank, she decided to become a writer. She went to London where she worked as a cleaning lady, a nanny, a waitress, and a news vendor, and spent her spare time writing and searching for her own literary expression. After returning to Turkey, she made good use of her experience and began publishing in the culturally oriented magazines Öküz [Ox] and Hayvan [Animal]. A collection of short stories, Siftah [First Trade of the Day] and especially the humorous novel Sinek Kadar Kocam Olsun Başımda Bulunsun [If I Had a Fly-Sized Husband to Oversee Me... ] put her among the writers who matter. A dramatization of this popular book was performed at the Ankara State Theatre. Later, she added three more novels and a book of humorous stories about motherhood, she has also begun writing screenplays for a series, and she still writes for magazines, for example, for the feminist magazine Amargi. She is married.
