Born in 1946 in Belgrade, she grew up in Prague and has lived in London since 1968. Her mother was the writer Lenka Reinerová (1916–2008). She studied film at the Royal College of Art in London and has been working as a psychotherapist since 2000.
In 2015, she published her novel written in English The Training Patient (in Czech 2019 as První terapie). She has also published the memoir-style titles Lenka (2020) and Vlastní krev (In the Blood, 2025) in Czech. The latter is described by the publisher as a “psychological thriller about family trauma and repressed memories” that “takes place between London and Prague during the fall of the Communist Bloc”.
