Anna Štičková was born in 1994 in Stříbro. She graduated in creative writing and journalism at the Literary Academy in Prague. Currently she is studying and teaching at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University in Brno.
Štičková writes poems, columns, studies, she translates, and she critically monitors Czech cultural policy and the workings of the book market in an international context. She has published poetry collections Nádech, výdech (Inhale, Exhale 2015), Nejsi ze Sudet? (Aren’t You from the Sudetenland?, 2019) and Všude pak viděla husy (And then She Saw Geese Everywhere, 2024). She is a co-translator of texts for the anthology Nebyla jen Sapfó. Stein, Lowell, Dickinson (Sappho Was Not the Only One. Stein, Lowell, Dickinson, 2023).
