Pavel Klusák was born in 1969 in Prague. He is a versatile music journalist, dramaturg, screenwriter. He collaborates with newspapers and magazines, radio and television, and with international film festivals in Karlovy Vary and Jihlava. He studied Czech studies at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University and screenwriting and dramaturgy at FAMU.
He is the author of several popular books, such as Gott. Československý příběh (Gott. A Czechoslovakian Story, 2021) and Suchý and Šlitr. Semafor 1959–1969 (2024). Jan Kolář wrote in Divadelní noviny about the latter book: “Pavel Klusák was born in 1969 and did not attend any show in Semafor of S + Š. However, he managed to do something unexpected: When reading his book, you have the persistent impression that he has seen all of S + Š’s productions…”
